How Florida Law Shapes a Boynton Beach Letter
Telehealth that counts
Florida recognizes information from a telehealth provider registered under section 456.47 as well as from in-state practitioners.
No added animal charge
A housing provider that accepts your support animal cannot ask for extra money for it, though you still pay for damage.
Honesty matters
Section 817.265 makes false ESA information a second-degree misdemeanor plus 30 hours of community service.
Boynton Beach Questions on the Tide Chart
Do dogs and cats in Boynton Beach need a county tag?
Yes. A Palm Beach County ordinance requires every dog and cat four months or older to be current on its rabies vaccine and to have a county license tag.
What does a Palm Beach County license tag cost?
The county's fee list shows $15 for a sterilized pet, $11.25 for a sterilized pet of a senior owner and $75 for a pet that is not sterilized. A lost tag is replaced for $5.
When does the county hold its weekend vaccine clinic?
Animal Care and Control lists Saturdays and Sundays from 2 to 4 p.m., with hours subject to change or cancellation. A rabies shot is $15, and a microchip is $10 for a sterilized pet or $20 for one that is not.
Where is Palm Beach County Animal Care and Control?
The main facility is at 7100 Belvedere Road in West Palm Beach, west of Florida's Turnpike, phone (561) 233-1200. It is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays.
Can a Boynton Beach landlord insist on its own form?
Florida Statute 760.27 does not let a housing provider require a specific form or a notarized statement, or deny a request only because its usual method was not followed.
Is a psychiatric service dog treated like an ESA in Florida?
No. Under section 413.08 a service animal is a dog or miniature horse individually trained to do work or tasks for a person with a disability, and providing emotional support alone does not count as that work.
