Settled in 1809, Contested in 1864
The first settlers reached Spring Hill in 1808 and the town was established a year later. On November 29, 1864, the Battle of Spring Hill was fought here; the battlefield off Kedron Road is open for self-guided tours all year. Rippavilla Plantation, at 5700 Main Street on US 31, offers educational programs and an annual corn maze.
