A Frontier Station Turned County Seat
Captain William Asher built a fortified station on Station Camp Creek in 1780, and the stockade served as a voting place under the Cumberland Compact. Gallatin became the permanent county seat in 1802. When the town was platted in 1803, Andrew Jackson bought one of the first lots and opened its first general store; the courthouse and jail went up on the central square the same year.

No. The city's animal control page says mandatory registration of service animals is not permitted, and a service animal does not need a vest, ID tag or special harness.
Does Tennessee require a rabies shot for my cat?
Yes. State law requires dogs and cats six months or older to be vaccinated against rabies by or under the supervision of a veterinarian.
Can my Gallatin landlord turn down an ESA request?
A landlord may deny the request if you do not provide reliable documentation after being asked for it. When you do provide it, the landlord weighs the request under Tennessee law.
