Describe your week and your animal
Share what has been weighing on you, how your animal steadies you and whether you rent off Augusta Road or live in a Furman residence hall.
Whether home is a North Main bungalow or an apartment near Furman, the free screening comes first, then a plan of your choosing and a video visit with a South Carolina-licensed clinician. A request the clinician supports ends with a signed letter for your landlord or campus housing office.
Share what has been weighing on you, how your animal steadies you and whether you rent off Augusta Road or live in a Furman residence hall.
Once checkout is done, your clinician, licensed in South Carolina, joins a secure video call and weighs whether a letter fits your situation.
A yes means a signed letter to download; a no arrives with an explanation, and a refund can then be requested under our policy.
The screening itself costs you nothing, and you decide afterward whether to book an evaluation.

The city's rider information page sets the rule for animals on Greenlink, and it is written for trained service animals.
| Animal | What Greenlink's page says |
|---|---|
| Guide, signal or task-trained animal | Rides with you; Greenlink asks for no pass, certificate, harness or carrier. |
| Operator questions | At most two questions: is this a service animal, and what job has it been trained for? |
| When it can be refused | A direct threat to safety, a seriously disruptive ride, or an animal not under your control. |
| ESA or pet | Not addressed on the page, so check before you travel with one. |

You owe nothing for the screening. A clinician licensed in the state reviews your request by video, and a supported letter goes straight to your account.
