A signature that checks out
The South Carolina-licensed clinician who met with you signs it and gives license details your landlord can verify.
Renting in Crowfield, along Red Bank Road or close to the Weapons Station? Start with the free screening, choose the plan that fits one animal or several, and talk by video with a South Carolina-licensed clinician. A letter is signed only if the clinician supports it, then it lands in your account, ready for your landlord.
The screening itself costs nothing, whether you have one dog or a house full of animals.
Describe your symptoms, each animal involved and where you rent, from a Crowfield townhome to a house near the base.
Pick a single-pet plan or the multiple-pet plan at checkout, then join a South Carolina-licensed clinician on a video call.
Approved pets go on the signed letter. When a letter cannot be supported, the reasons come with it, and our refund policy applies.

A no-pet lease is common enough that a Goose Creek ESA letter has to speak for itself the moment a landlord reads it.
The South Carolina-licensed clinician who met with you signs it and gives license details your landlord can verify.
Each approved emotional support animal can share one letter on our multiple-pet plan, and a trained dog has its own psychiatric service dog letter.
It is a housing document, not a city pet permit, and it does not cover stores or restaurants. Anyone reviewing it can look up its date and reference number through our verification page.
Section 4-3 of the city code counts dogs and cats together, per residence. City pet regulations
No permit is needed for a total of three dogs and cats at one home.
A city permit covers the animals over three, at $25 a year for each, and it is renewed every year. The code says the owner of the residence obtains it, so renters should ask who applies.
The city's page is silent on whether an emotional support animal counts. Ask Animal Control through City Hall at 843-797-6220 before you add one.
These come from City Ordinance 90.04 and the city's pet reminder, and a housing letter does not change them.
Joint Base Lindsey Graham, called Joint Base Charleston until August 2026, keeps a housing office on its Naval Weapons Station side. Military OneSource housing page
Military OneSource lists JBWS Charleston Homes, a Balfour Beatty community it calls pet-friendly, for on-base rentals. Ask its leasing team how an ESA request is reviewed before you move an animal in.
Leasing questions: 843-797-5631The housing office shares information on rentals around the greater Charleston area, and Military OneSource says to visit before you commit to a lease.
742 Fletcher St, 843-794-7218Berkeley County's animal center now runs as the Charleston Animal Society Berkeley Campus, and the society's list sends county residents there.

Each one is a South Carolina address, so the evaluation works the same way; town offices and pet rules are what change.

Details about Goose Creek here come from the city, Military OneSource, the Charleston Animal Society, BHDD's clinic pages, the legal aid directory and SCHAC, and they are current as of October 2026. Treat this as a local guide, not legal advice about your lease or your pets. Screening does not guarantee a letter, since each one rests on the clinician's judgment. Check anything that matters with the office named, and for support at any hour, 988 picks up by call or text.
There is no charge for the screening. A South Carolina-licensed clinician evaluates you on video, and a supported letter arrives in your account.
